TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION
The process of laying asphalt is used to restore existing and/or build new traffic surfaces. The asphalt layer represents the upper/final layer of the road, and the laying of asphalt is preceded by milling the existing asphalt pavement and arranging the surface if it is an existing road or only the execution of the lower bearing layer and preparation for asphalting when it is a matter of building a new road surface.
Asphalt paving is applied to many types of traffic surfaces (public and private) including highways, roads, paths/bike paths, sidewalks, parking lots, access roads, yards and minor service roads, among others.
Asphalt pavement layer is the final part of the pavement structure and can consist of one layer or several layers, and the good quality and durability of the constructed layer largely depends on a well-prepared road base, a good design solution and, ultimately, the execution of asphalt laying in accordance with the rules of the profession, while respecting all areal and climatic conditions with the implementation of prescribed tests during and after execution.
