TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION
The process of crushing/milling the stone layer is used to pulverize the stone layer of the road or plateau using a specialized tractor attachment - a milling cutter. By crushing the stone layer and reprofiling, the granulometric curve of the pavement is improved or the existing pavement layer is homogenized to the required thickness, after which it is leveled and, if necessary, compacted. The reprofiled layer can be used as a final treatment, where the thus treated and homogenized layer after leveling and tamping can serve its purpose (e.g. unbound macadam pavement) or reprofiling can be used for crushing larger stone fractions, when it is necessary to break large grains that prevent the use of earth milling machine or recycler, that is, to obtain the fine fraction that is missing and in this way to optimize the grain size distribution curve for subsequent processing.
This technology is applied for:
- Reprofiling of unconsolidated pavement layers;
- Crushing of stone, asphalt and concrete up to a grain size of 250 mm;
- Cold recycling of asphalt pavements on site;
- Improvement and stabilization of the bearing layer - soil (cement or lime);
- Milling and breaking asphalt-concrete pavements.
