TECHNOLOGY DESCRIPTION
Soil stabilization is a process used to enhance the load bearing capacity that does not meet minimum requirements in terms of bearing capacity and the quality of material. Soil stabilization or the improvement of the load bearing capacity and quality of the material can be enhanced by the traditional method based on the partial or complete removal of soil with the unsatisfactory characteristics and replacing it with a higher quality material.
However, the aforementioned method has shortcomings in the large material consumption, longer duration of construction and thus in the financial factor.
Soil stabilization with lime and / or cement is a much faster and cheaper way than the traditional way of removing and replacing materials with unsatisfactory characteristics.
Machines that are used to stabilize the soil by lime or cement are Wirtgen WR 240i, while the spreading is carried out by the attachment for the truck SW 16 MC.
Soil stabilization method using lime:
- Dispersing lime at a given amount;
- Soil stabilization with multifunctional machine WR 240i;
- Stacking a stabilized layer with a single roller;
- Profiling of the built-in layer with a grader;
- Finishing of the profiled layer with a single roller.
Soil stabilization method using cement:
- Dispersing cement at a given amount;
- Soil stabilization with multifunctional machine WR 240i with the addition of water to the mixture directly on the recycler;
- Stacking a stabilized layer with a single roller;
- Profiling of the built-in layer by a grader;
- Final compaction of the profiled layer with a tandem and a pneumatic roller.
